Stahl House (Case Study House #22)
Pierre Koenig's Stahl House was built in 1960 for Buck and Carlotta Stahl as part of the Case Study House program, created in 1945 by Arts & Architecture editor John Entenza to shape postwar living through replicable building techniques using modern industrial materials. Its glass-and-steel structure on a precarious Hollywood Hills site uses dramatic roof overhangs and the largest commercially available glass of the time.
